Day 2

Did pretty good on the food today, but didn't get a run in. It started raining while I was walking home from work so I assumed a run wouldn't be possible. Too bad I just looked out the window and the street is completely dry! Hmph!

I had a slightly more balanced diet today, but once again forgot photos...what is it gonna take already?!

Meal 1 - protein oats (oats, soy yogurt, protein powder, almond milk, cinnamon)
Meal 2 - Banana w/ natural peanut butter
Meal 3 - whole wheat bagel with sugar-free jam
Meal 4 - carrots & grape tomatoes w/ ranch
Meal 5 - Crack Wrap (whole wheat tortilla, hummus, soy cheese)
*coffee with creamer & sugar substitute

Boring day, but 2 days down!

Day 1

Well, as always, the first day went off without a hitch!

I hit up the grocery store after work so my meals for the rest of the week should be a little better than today. I will try to start taking some pictures, but I'm always halfway done before I remember! Here we go:

Meal 1 - medium iced skim white mocha (I know, not really a meal!)
Meal 2 - gardein Tuscan Chicken Breast
Meal 3 - Carrots w/ very little ranch dressing
Meal 4 - packet of instant oatmeal w/ scoop of protein powder & tsp ground flax seeds
Meal 5 - Peacan Pie Larabar
Meal 6 - Smoothie (mango, pineapple, spinach & protein powder)

Since I'm just getting back into running, my workout was 25 minutes of run/walk intervals.

My goal is to have 5 small meals per day and to workout 5 days a week. I hope to be able to run my old route within a couple weeks. Fingers crossed!

100 Day Challenge

So...here I am! Whew! After a cold winter in Chicago, I'm out of shape and not at all ready for summer clothes. Thus, came my idea for my own 100 Day Challenge. It seems to me that in 100 days you could really do some damage and come out a whole different person...and I'm ready. Since I'm someone who responds best when I have an end goal, I'm hoping this will do the trick!

Each day I will be posting what I ate and my workout from the day before. This is mostly for my own benefit so that I will have something to hold me accountable. Today it begins...again...and I'm WAY excited!

On a note in the realm of small victories, I passed up the free pizza at work! Oh yeah, no cheating on day 1!
